Performed in Shanley Pavilion in Spring 2019, Smokefall explores generational trauma through magical realism. The first act follows a family with an emotionally vacant husband and an inexplicably melancholy wife pregnant with twins. The second act takes place in-utero, with the twins going through existential crises immediately prior to being born. The third act sees the only twin who survived childbirth as an old man, still morning his brother he only knew in a prior life.
